FastAgency

FastAgency is an open-source framework designed to accelerate the transition from prototype to production for multi-agent AI workflows. It enables developers to seamlessly scale Jupyter notebook prototypes into fully functional, production-ready applications with minimal effort and code.

FastAgency offers several key features including Multi-Runtime Support, which currently supports AutoGen (also known as AG2) and plans to extend to CrewAI, providing developers with flexibility. It also provides Seamless External API Integration, allowing users to import an OpenAPI specification and connect it to agents with minimal code, simplifying the enhancement of AI agents with real-time data. A Unified Programming Interface enables workflow development once for reuse across console (ConsoleUI) and web (MesopUI) interfaces. Furthermore, FastAgency includes a powerful Command-Line Interface (CLI) for orchestrating and managing multi-agent applications directly from the terminal, useful for automating deployments and integrating workflows into DevOps pipelines.

FastAgency supports a variety of applications across different domains, including AI Chatbots for deploying multi-agent conversational AI in customer support or tutoring, Data-Driven Decision Making where agents gather real-time data from APIs to support business decisions, Automated Testing to automate testing workflows in CI environments, and DevOps Orchestration to automate complex workflows and integrate AI-driven operations using its CLI for efficient management.

FastAgency currently provides two main interface options: Console, which uses the ConsoleIO interface for command-line based interaction ideal for developing and testing workflows in a text-based environment, and Mesop, which utilizes Mesop with MesopIO for web-based applications suitable for creating web applications with a user-friendly interface.

FastAgency bridges the gap between rapid prototyping and production-ready deployment by integrating familiar frameworks like AG2 (formerly AutoGen), providing powerful API integration, and offering robust CI testing tools. This reduces the complexity and overhead typically associated with deploying AI agents in real-world applications, allowing you to deploy faster, more reliably, and with greater flexibility.
